The objective of Government Affairs function is to represent B Braun by managing and supporting market access of our innovative medical technologies and drugs and contributing to the development of sustainable health care systems. Duties & Responsibilities Lead the Government Affairs and CSR activities across all B Braun group entities in India. Develop and execute a strategy to safeguard and promote the Business interests of the company through advocacy and sharing of relevant data, technical inputs etc. during the development of government policies. Network with the Bureaucracy in relevant Government Ministries like Corporate Affairs, Health Family Welfare, Labor, Consumer Affairs etc. and Departments like DoP, NPPA, GEM, ICMR, COSCO, IPC, CPCB, BIS etc. and secure access for resolution of various operational issues. Represent the company in selected Industry Associations Chambers of Commerce and work through them for the resolution of common issues being faced by the industry. Extend support on business matters like pricing controls, import/export, licenses/certificates, finance, taxation, regulatory approvals etc. by regular follow up and facilitate the necessary licenses and approvals from various regulatory bodies. Ensure EPR compliance for PWM, EWM and BWM by engaging suitable vendor and coordinating with various stakeholders. Ensure pricing compliance for Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices through timely submission of NPPA forms. Build a positive image of the company among key stakeholders in Bureaucracy as well as in the industry especially with the local administration at the manufacturing plant locations. Track relevant developments, informal communication and other signs indicating potential shifts of policy and mitigate their adverse impacts on the company and its business. Support the sales team engaged in Government Business by facilitating their access to key stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with relevant CSR guidelines statutory liabilities by organizing quarterly meeting of the CSR committee besides identifying and proposing the recommended activities to the relevant CSR committees for each of the entities. Plan, coordinate with local stakeholders and support the execution of CSR events and activities as approved by the CSR committee. Coordinate with the workstream leads for various activities related to sustainability and be the single point of contact across all entities for various sustainability initiatives of the group including participation in the monthly meetings. Collaborate with key stakeholders for GA 8: CSR Sustainability in the region in order to share both outcomes and best practices. Ensuring financial discipline by Adherence to budget of the relevant cost centers. Meeting the cost saving targets with the management. Supporting cross functional projects via inputs related to government policies and practices. Ensuring compliance of all applicable statutory, regulatory compliance guidelines Monitoring and periodically reporting the relevant KPIs to the management. Any other activity or project assigned by the management. Professional Competences At least 8 years of experience in progressively responsible position in the area of government Affairs ideally with Pharma & Medical device Sector Excellent analytical writing and persuasive skills to develop and covey strategies, policies and action plan. Post Graduation in Economics, Management, public Policy & related Fiels Graduation in Life Science Personal Competencies: Skill and Communication including executive communication High Level if energy, enthusiasm and sense of urgency Proactive and Positive attitude with ability to influence others Strength in building relationships at all levels.
