Position Overview:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Technical Oversight:
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams and subcontractors.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure workmanship meets industry standards and project specifications.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for onsite personnel.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures to mitigate risks.
Resource Management:
- Manage materials, equipment, and manpower effectively to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Coordinate deliveries and maintain inventory control.
- Monitor resource usage and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photographs, and change orders.
- Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders.
- Document as-built conditions and compile closeout documentation at project completion.
