Job description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant who has experience in handling international FMCG/or any distribution company accounts to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing various aspects of the company's financial operations, including but not limited to financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities : • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP. • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. • Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring actual performance against budgeted targets. • Review and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities. • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes. • Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making. • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls and procedures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects and initiatives. • Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed. Qualifications : • Minimum of 4 - 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable, preferably in an international FMCG or distribution company setting. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. • Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies. • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.Job tags
