Roles And Responsibilities

  • Review and verify medical billing codes for completeness and accuracy
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
  • Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies
  • Ensure timely payment of claims by monitoring insurance payments and identifying and rectifying any delays or denials
  • Maintain updated knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing regulations
  • Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing and payment issues
  • Assist with the billing and collections process, including generating invoices and processing payments
  • Handle inquiries and provide support to patients regarding billing inquiries and payment arrangements
