Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Assist and support the corporate planning, analysis, forecasting and reporting processes for
AVI-SPL India, including annual budget.
• Determine financial status and financial progress of AVI-SPL India business units by comparing
and analyzing plans, forecasts, actual results and trends
• Provide information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports;
making presentations of findings and analysis
• Maintain the Project WIP process for India
• Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly
• Prepare weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting and Dashboard reporting to all
interested stakeholders.
• Prepare Monthly Financial Statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) in
conjunction with the Accounting Department month-end close process
• Provide miscellaneous ad-hoc analysis based on requests from India management team;
Analysis may include monitoring revenue and expense trends and anomalies
• Assist Accounting Department with data analysis and schedule preparation in conjunction with
external audit requirements
• Manage the Sales Commission process for AVI-SPL India employees
• Other duties assigned as needed

Skills and Abilities


• Ability to analyze and create data models that can be articulated to senior management
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to act as a change agent, leading the improvement
of control and efficiency enhancements
• Excellent strategic thinking and structured problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate time management skills with attention to detail
• Detail oriented and capable of analyzing complex financial/operational data
• Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in PC/Microsoft applications (Excel (advanced), Access,
Word, Powerpoint)
• Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all
levels of the organization
• Self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities

 

Education and/or Experience


• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required (MBA and/or CPA is preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a corporate accounting organization
• Experience operating in a multi-state and/or complex matrix business environment
• Intermediate/Advanced experience with General Ledger Programs (Sage), and Financial Reporting applications (TM1)
