Process engineer (Electrical and Instrumentation) is responsible to understand customer requirements, PIDs, URS and accordingly do detailed engineering, Control panel design, component selection, Control panel specifications, IO List, Wiring Drawing, GA preparation etc
Do internal testing, commissioning, and complete execution of all control panel Instrument parameterization for projects of all systems within the PASS group in India to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems as far as electrical instruments are concern.
Write technical proposals including clarification and exclusion lists for EI.
Request, analyze and implement quotations for all main sub suppliers and include in technical proposal
Develop Project schedules related to EI activities.
Perform Project Risk assessments
SAP project creation and maintenance.
Coordination of incoming goods inspection.
Collaborate cross-functionally with suppliers, end users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Responsible to accomplish all site activities related system project commissioning
Responsible for documenting system modifications and conveying modification details back to Project Engineering, through the correct Change Control procedures.
Responsible for costing and quotation preparation/elaboration for requested commissioning support activities at a customer site.
Responsible for the elaboration of POR root cause analysis for warranty investigations and sub sequential submittal into the quality POR system.
Responsible for the generation and implementation of written commissioning support and/or test procedures and risk assessments.
Responsible for training customer personnel in the proper operation of the Cytiva System
Must prepare training materials for various Cytiva Systems Technologies, including the provision of Standard Commissioning support Products relating to the specific technology Should be able to independently resolve adverse situations constructively
Timely and accurate completion of Commissioning Reports, Time Tracking, Site Visit Reports, Expense Reports and other business-related documents
Performing all commissioning supports in compliance with applicable Cytiva, site and industrial safety practices.
Training Customers, in the correct use and maintenance procedures for all instrument.
Other reasonable duties as required by changes to Cytiva procedures or markets.
Willing to travel upto 50% of time for project follow up, inspection, SAT, troubleshooting at customer site.
The essential requirements of the job include:
BE Instrumentation/Electrical/ETC or equivalent.
A higher degree or secondary degree in a related subject would be an advantage.
Experience of process engineering / project management of equipment used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing with relevant experience and knowledge to perform commissioning support on a filtration, separation and purification system/equipment in the biopharmaceutical industry.
A minimum of 8 years post qualification experience in Electrical Instrumentation or similar position.
Experience within the biopharmaceutical market is added advantage.
Factory test work and/or site work experience.
Multi-discipline work experience. Detailed knowledge of apertures, fittings, valves, measuring devices and electrical installation is a must. Cross trained in electrical / instrumentation / mechanical / process disciplines is essential.
Engineer must have a hands-on Instrumentation with significant experience in control panel solutions, different norms, electrical guidelines.
S/He must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a design execution of Instrumentation control panel.
He must be at ease working in an agile environment with supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.
To work safely and to comply with the companys health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Must be prepared to work unsociable hours when required eg overtime, shift work, weekend and holiday working.
Current driving license. Passport holder. Ability to travel at short notice - home country and abroad.
Able to work away from home for extended durations. Work well alone or as part of a team.
Ability to integrate into international teams (Cytiva and customer), including understanding of cultural differences.
