Managing & mentoring a dynamic team of R&D. Responsible for developing innovative biobased products for Paper/textile/cleaning/consumer/water applications. Coordinating with the application team in product establishment activities. Job Responsibilities & Duties: Managing a dynamic team of R&D, applications, analytical comprising of chemist, biotechnologist, microbiologist, textile chemist, paper technologist, etc. Experience in handling a team of 25-30 including Sr. scientist, Scientist, Executives, Trainees, etc. Planning for project activities- Daily/weekly/monthly/yearly. Coordinating with R&D team on new developments Biobased formulation for textile auxiliaries, paper auxiliaries, cleaning products for home care & institutional applications, Cosmetics & personal care products, water treatment products, etc. Guiding R&D team on i. New product development research ii. Optimization studies iii. Application trials in the respective application lab iv. Data compilation & report writing v. Innovation methodologies vi. Literature survey techniques. Developing customized SOPs and procedures for lab operations. Collaborating with marketing team to run troubleshooting experiments for market products and existing applications. Thorough analytical knowledge including lab testing equipment and analytical instruments. Thorough subject knowledge including chemistry, surfactant chemistry, & biotechnology. Maintaining lab documentation including daily experimental data, project reports, technology write ups, product spec sheets, etc. New recruitment l. Aware about regulatory norms & government related procedures including DSIR, DST, PCB, etc. Job requirements: A successful candidate will have Qualification (Must): Ph. D in Chemistry/Surfactant chemistry/Biotechnology from a reputed institute Experience: 10 - 15 years essentially as a Chief scientist/Manager for a research & development lab with a formulation or Surfactant chemicals or personal care or biotechnology company. Thorough knowledge of Chemistry, Surfactant chemistry & Biotechnology. Experience in handling an R&D team working on various types of research projects, formulations & allied chemistries. Thorough understanding and experience in handling various chemistry-based projects, formulation chemistries, analytical research & biotechnology-based projects. Experience in Lab to Plant Scale implementation viii. Good Communication Skills. A sincere attitude, leadership qualities & commitment to job responsibilities.Job tags
