Job description
We are looking for a senior program manager to join our project management team. You will lead a few scrum masters, project managers and release train engineers. The ideal candidate should have experience in different project management methodologies (waterfall, scrum and kanban), bug tracking systems like Linear, JIRA and Azure DevOps, and project management tools like Asana and Monday.com. You will work closely with different product teams and business stakeholders to ensure flawless execution of projects.
Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day coordination, support, and coaching to the team to encourage adoption of Scaled Agile Framework best-practices. Responsible for setting up a PMO organization across the entire IT team – processes, standards, measurements etc. Develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Understand resourcing capacity across your program teams, and align cross-functional team members on attainable product roadmap milestones. Maintain project plans and resource allocations that allow for quick and efficient understanding of resource capacity. Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on scrum progress and quality, including capacity allocations and team velocity. Create reports and provide product development dashboards to management and senior leadership. Drive team velocity through process improvements, test-driven development and DevOps practices. Be the ER (our internal tool equivalent to Jira and Linear) manager, having ownership of setup and improvements. Ideate and execute improvements to our SDLC continuously. Work with peers in Dev, QA and Product to implement the changes. Key Skills: 8-15 years’ experience delivering large scale complex IT projects and programs for the business. MUST have experience setting up and running a PMO for a mid-large size IT organization. MUST have experience with governance and coordinating with executives in the company. Skilled in PMBOK and Agile methodologies Experience with modern project management tools such as SmartSheet, Asana, Monday etc.. Good understanding of latest web and mobile technologies, database design and APIs. Hands-on experience with coding is a plus. See yourself as a future COO (chief operating officer).
