Job description
We are looking for Senior Forecasting Analyst- Patient Care for a leading Global Pharmaceutical MNC in Bangalore/Chennai
Position: Senior Forecasting Analyst- Patient Care
Experience: 7+ years in R&D
Location: Bangalore/ Chennai
Shift timing: 2 pm to 11 pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate timely and reliable demand forecasts for strategic brands and therapy areas across key markets, meticulously documenting assumptions and confidence levels.
- Confidently present and defend forecast methodologies, assumptions, and outputs to senior leadership.
- Ensure forecast objectivity and reliability by selecting appropriate data sources and employing industry-leading modeling techniques, including sensitivity analyses for risk and opportunity management.
- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the intersections between forecasting efforts and those of colleagues.
- Develop volume forecasts for new product introductions, supporting both short-term and long-term strategic and operational planning.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in forecasting capabilities, enhancing value, and addressing risk, opportunity, and uncertainty through advanced methodologies and deep data analysis.
- Proactively incorporate relevant information into forecasts from various tools and sources.
- For Global Forecasting roles: Create new forecast models to address emerging business needs, such as pipeline assets or business development initiatives.
- For US Forecasting roles: Engage in monthly S&OP processes, submit volume projections, and develop weekly, monthly, and yearly models and conversions.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Experience:
- 6+ years of direct pharmaceutical forecasting experience, with expertise in forecasting techniques, models, and approaches.
- Comprehensive understanding of one or more disease areas and patient journeys, including treatment dynamics.
- Proficiency in integrating market research insights and secondary data analyses into forecast assumptions.
- Experience utilizing diverse data sources and analytics in the pharmaceutical industry, such as IQVIA, claims data, and epidemiological data.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel, financial modeling, and forecasting capabilities.
- Project management experience, managing risk, planning, and executing multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to cultivate trusted relationships across various partner groups, including Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Technology.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, Masters) preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in advanced statistical forecast methodologies and applied AI/ML/automation.
- Familiarity with Power Apps, specifically PowerBI.
- For US forecasting, understanding of US Market Access and gross-to-net dynamics.
