Job description

• Itrons CAD and PLM Solution Developer provides expertise for Itrons Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) solutions
• This expertise includes technical skills and capabilities to implement and maintain existing and new CAD and PLM/PDM solutions toward a common vision
• It also includes best practice experience and knowledge for effectively utilizing CAD and PLM/PDM data and running CAD and PLM/PDM processes in a manufacturing/engineered product environment
• The role will provide consultation to CAD and PLM/PDM solution users, evaluation of CAD and PLM/PDM solutions capability and anticipated expansions, validation of CAD and PLM/PDM data and processes, development and implementation of CAD and PLM/PDM solutions, and on-going support of CAD and PLM/PDM solutions
• This hands-on implementation and development role requires intimate knowledge and expertise in PLM, PDM, and CAD applications

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and define the solutions required
Define, implement, test, and deliver CAD, PDM, PLM solutions
Work together in a team to deliver solutions
Transfer solution knowledge to users and IT help desk

Support and Maintenance:
Administration and configuration of CAD/PDM/PLM applications
User training and helpdesk support
Upgrades and system refreshes

Desired PLM, PDM, and CAD Knowledge/Expertise (Prioritized):

• CAD application expertise, including designing products, installing and supporting apps, and managing licenses
  
• CAD integration experience (to PLM/PDM solutions, including CAD attribute integrations to PLM/PDM solutions)
  
• CAD, PLM, PDM best practices and standards
  
• Parts and BOM attributes and structure, including principles and best practices
  
• Lifecycle management and change management of parts and BOMs
  
• Product hierarchies, catalogs, classifications
  
• Auditing and reporting of product data for legal or other purposes
  
• Government product compliance (materials/substance compliance)
  
• Data exchange/integration between PLM/PDM/CAD, and with other enterprise applications (ERP, business intelligence, etc.)
  
• Data interchange portals with parts suppliers
  
• Data integrity cleanup and maintenance

Desired Skills:

Direct hands-on implementation and support experience with the following applications (in priority):
Windchill
Creo
Cadence Allegro
Cadence Pulse
Solidworks
Solidworks PDM
AutoCAD
FlexLM

Optional / a plus

Solutions Business Manager (SBM/Teamtrack)

• Oracle PLM Cloud (Product Development and Product Information Management / Product Hub modules), including OTBI custom report creation, supplier portals, Oracle training materials
  Oracle SQL scripts
  
• Software and/or script development - languages such as Java, Python, XQuery/Xpath, etc.
  
• Data exchange/integration tools such as Boomi, Oracle connectors, etc.

  Required Experience:
• Bachelors Degree from a four-year college or university or 5+ years related experience
  
• Mechanical and electrical CAD tools expertise and data management of CAD
  
• Implementation and administration of Oracle PLM Cloud or similar PLM solution
  
• Data/process migration and/or integration between solutions
  
• Experience training users in a manufacturing/engineered product environment
  
• Experience collaborating with a team to develop and deliver a solution
