Job description
1. Good Knowledge of Foundry Technology processes of Grey Cast Iron & SG Iron and forging processes.
Sound knowledge of metallurgy & effect of minor trace elements over casting, forging product quality
2. Identify internal & external customer needs and take concrete steps to address these needs at supplier
3. Ensure adherence to systems and procedures as specified
4. Analysis of the issues reported by internal Customer as well as field issues and initiating concrete actions at suppliers end.
5. Solve problems / make improvement with the help of statistical tools and drive continual PPM Reduction
6. Compilation of meaningful MIS reports for the senior levels
7. Encourage suppliers to achieve Quality Management Systems to ISO/TS accreditation
8. Ensures that location targets are executed as per agreed plans
9. Help identified suppliers to develop to the desired levels of Quality by auditing and suggesting process improvements
10. VPPAP approval for new development components for alternate source/new product /irritant group
11. Ensuring first time & every time right product
12. Evaluate new Suppliers
Automobile
Bachelor of Engineering; Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Automobile
4-6 years in Automobile working in Supplier Quality Assurance
Strong technical knowledge – Casting & Machining Processes, Gears, heat treatments.
Knowledge of statistical tools / Statistical approach
