Job description
The primary purpose of this job is to provide pre-sales support to MillerKnoll sales and dealer teams in North America, based in the Bangalore office. This role will be responsible for providing optimized spatial planning, preparation of specifications of products as per RFP and bid requirements, lookbooks and colour studies, creating 2D and 3D CAD drawings, takeoff (BOQs) and pricing for projects with a specific focus on Ancillary and group spaces.
Specific responsibilities
Provide support to sales through product application design, space planning and layout optimization, product list and pricing for clients. Partner with the North American design team to provide specification work in a timely fashion, communicating clearly what can be accomplished and delivering consistent results. Should be capable of extracting the design brief from the sales managers, understanding customer s priorities and requirements, and communicating with them fluently during various stages of the projects. Deep knowledge of interior design trends and ancillary products to fulfill a customer s vision. History of work with Architecture and Design firms preferred. Proficiency with value engineering, creating product specifications, and CAD drawings i.e. typicals drawings with details, floor plans options, BOQ and accurate pricing. Should have the utmost concern for the quality of work in terms of clarity on drawings and accuracy on product lists/BOQs, attention to detail and presentation. Coordinate with the product management and specials/options team for any nonstandard application as per the requirement of the customer, follow up with the options team to the pricing and related drawings. Project Management and Customer Coordination:
a) Project performance management and reporting: Able to estimate the scope of work, execute the project plan, record progress, and report status to Team lead/Manager.
b) Interacting with the internal stakeholders at various stages of the projects for design briefing, approvals and project closure.
c) Keeping a tab on the hours spent on a project and updating the tracker daily.
d) Constant upgrading and updating oneself with the latest in the industry and technical knowledge in comparison with Herman Miller and affiliated product lines.
e) Meeting project delivery deadline every single time without any misses or excuses.
f) Pitching in as a team player to help each other ensure quality accurate work is delivered within the stipulated timelines and accountability for the work done.
g) Work with the Team lead and Manager to ensure the service level agreements (SLAs) with respect to the role are met.
h) Maintain good professional connect with the clients/team members/TL/Managers.

Education and experience
Essential:
1) Degree/Diploma level education. (Business or design related)
2) A minimum of 2-6 years of proven design application/sales support success.
3) Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, CET (Configura)
4) Should be willing to be flexible in terms of working shifts - UK Shift preferred
5) Detail-oriented and possess analytical and problem-solving skills
6) Ability to work independently and as a team player
7) Good English communication skills required.
8) Previous employment with an international company.
9) Experience in the office furniture industry.
10) Willing to work in Noon shift (UK Shift) from 12-00 to 9-00
