Overview:
As a Legal Associate at Real Estate Organisation you will play a vital role in ensuring legal compliance and providing legal support for various real estate transactions and activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team contributing to the legal aspects of a fastpaced real estate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research on real estate laws regulations and precedents.
- Draft review and negotiate various real estate contracts including purchase agreements leases and sale agreements.
- Assist in due diligence processes for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Provide legal support for property development projects including zoning land use and permitting issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams including real estate developers property managers and finance professionals to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
- Assist in resolving legal disputes related to real estate transactions or properties.
- Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations and advise the company on potential impacts.
- Assist with other legal matters and projects as assigned by the Legal Counsel or Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Law or related field; Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.
- Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Previous experience (23 years) in real estate law or related legal field preferably within a real estate company or law firm.
- Strong understanding of real estate laws contracts and transactions.
- Excellent research writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
