Job description
Purpose of Position:
Lead the Production team of the PMW Kolkata for Cold Box/ Cryogenic vessel manufacturing. Establish & maintain the production system in order to timely deliver the products, Plan & Execute the works in timely manner, participate as production lead in the workshop certification system, participate in the internal audits and coordinate with the customer for production related issues, regular coordination with quality team and overall control on the fabrication system. Principal Responsibilities: Manage the production team of the workshop. Plan and execute the worker engagement process. Pro-actively participate to implement the code requirements and developing comprehensive fabrication process, procedures & standards, and certification concepts for manufacturing of pressurized equipment (pressure vessels, piping systems, piping components, package units) These concepts are aiming for the most economical solution that ensure fulfillment of Linde Min. Requirements, client needs, regulatory requirements, and smooth & timely project execution. Procure and timely arrangement of the materials. Verifying supplier documents (specifications and drawings) w.r.t. fulfillment of project requirements Ensure purchased equipment for compliance with standard & project specifications. Participate in the conformity assessment as per relevant local regulatory requirements (e.g. as defined by ASME, ISO, PESO & PED) for all equipment. Strong interaction with interface disciplines and project management to be proactively managed to deliver the products in time. Participating in updating and improving internal workflow and base specifications Participate in regular internal audits, customer & TPIA control etc. from production point of view. Establish and maintenance of the workshop certifications like ISO 9001, ASME “U”, “R”, PESO, ISO 3834 etc. Vendor control and expediting works as and when required. Participation in establishing of other international certifications [as required] like DOSH, MIGAS, SELO etc. Looking after the commercials related to Material procurement and other required services for fabrication. Effective communication at all levels Problem Solving Coordination Required key skills (functional/technical): Familiar with Oxygen Cleaning System Knowledge of Material specifications as per ASME / ASTM / EN Knowledge of Cryogenic Pressure vessels Professional knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, EN 13445, EN 13480, PED Fluently spoken and written English Willing for traveling to suppliers and Linde entities worldwide. Required qualifications/experience: BE / B-Tech in mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Shop floor manufacturing process.Job tags
