S&S Power Switchgear Equipment Limited

Location: This position is based in Chennai City Office located in GUINDY.

S&S Power Group has three Operating Companies in its present form. S&S Power Switchgear Equipment Limited, Acrastyle Limited and Hamilton Research & Technology Limited.

S&S Power Switchgear Equipment Limited is involved in Design, Manufacture & Supply of High Voltage Disconnector, Control Panels and Medium Voltage Service & Spare part supply.

S&S Power is a growing SME in need of an experienced Sales Leader to help it expand its business further into international markets, improve market share in domestic market and grow R3 Solutions (Retrofit) Division Business. Our aim is to expand to CIS countries, MENA, LATAM and Eastern Europe, while consolidate our strong presence in existing African countries, ASEAN & SAARC region. Our company has been in business for last 48 years and specializes in a niche area of designing, manufacturing, supplying and servicing high voltage disconnectors with access to emerging and developing markets. With the help of our subsidiary in UK, as additional ASSEMBLY UNIT, we have potential to access larger global market. We are looking for a candidate who can lead confidently and creatively in challenging and evolving environments.

Company is looking for doubling its sales in next four years and looking forward to implementing its new strategy to support this growth program. Expanding the range upto 765kV is on cards and this new product launch will be critical deliverable.

This Sales Leader role has end to end responsibility including contract / project management, product management, proposal, sales and business development scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

- Improve profitability of Indian Region and increase market share
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate and expand our business into international markets
- Create and manage relationships with key decision-makers to drive business growth with Indian EPC Majors in T&D Sector, International EPCs, Utilities & Industries.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals
- Establish sales margin & cash targets and continually measure and report on the progress of those targets
- Promote the company's brand through creative marketing and sales initiatives including digital marketing.
- Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to promote sales
- Build and maintain a sales pipeline to achieve company growth targets
- Monitor and analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Propose and lead Commercial Action Plan for 3-4 years long plan range.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and MBA in Marketing (preferred).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in sales and sales leadership roles (Age bracket 35-40 years)
- Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets
- Experience in selling products or services in international markets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to succeed with constraints and limitations
- Must be willing to travel internationally
- Background of High Voltage Switchgear selling in Transmission sector is preferred.
- This person should bring strong B2B selling experience with EPCs
- Experience of T&D Industry in Transmission segment for 5 years is must.
- Must have experience in domestic market as well as international market.
- Digital Saviness and adaptness to modern technology is essential

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international markets of high voltage substations and the ability to develop creative sales strategies to meet the demands of specific markets.

Company also would like to globalise its Retrofit, Refurbish and Renovate offerings (R3 Solutions Business) for own make products and other make products in the global market. Experience in selling services would be helpful.

He should also be an excellent communicator and team leader who can inspire and motivate a team of sales professionals. The Sales Director should be able to thrive in an ever-changing business environment and have the drive and ambition to become a future CEO.
