Job Title: Fashion Designer
Job Description: YTYPE is seeking a talented and experienced Fashion Designer to join our team and spearhead the creation of elegant and sophisticated designs for our upcoming fashion start-up. As a Fashion Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic direction of our brand and translating our vision into captivating garments that resonate with our target audience. Responsibilities: 1. Conceptualize and develop original design concepts that align with the brand's identity and target market. 2. Conduct research to stay abreast of current fashion trends, industry developments, and competitor analysis. 3. Collaborate closely with the creative team to translate design concepts into sketches, mood boards, and prototypes. 4. Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards. 5. Source and select materials, trims, and embellishments that complement the design aesthetic and meet budget requirements. 6. Oversee the sampling and fitting process, making necessary adjustments to achieve the desired fit and silhouette. 7. Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery of finished garments. 8. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior design team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. 9. Participate in photoshoots and promotional events to showcase the brand's collections and garner media attention. 10. Stay informed about emerging technologies and sustainable practices within the fashion industry, integrating them into the design process wherever possible. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 2. Proven experience 2 years working as a Fashion Designer, preferably with a focus on elegant fashion and start-up environments. 3. Strong portfolio showcasing original design concepts, technical proficiency, and attention to detail. 4. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs. 5. Excellent understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and textile properties. 6. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate ideas and feedback. 7. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 8. Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation in fashion design. 9. Knowledge of sustainable and ethical practices in fashion production is a plus. 10. A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence.
