Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Legal and Compliance Analyst located in Mumbai, with flexibility for some remote work. As a vital member of our team, the Legal & Compliance Analyst will play a key role in studying legal documents, generating concise reports, overseeing the execution and tracking of fundamental commercial agreements, and facilitating communication with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Analyst will actively contribute to maintaining regulatory compliance, participating in audits, and providing crucial support to the Office of Legal and Compliance.
Qualifications and Preferences
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees such as a Master's in Law or a professional qualification would be a distinct advantage.
Professional Experience: Proven experience in legal and compliance roles and f amiliarity with the financial industry, venture capital, or advisory services is highly desirable.
Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of legal principles, contracts, and regulatory compliance. Ability to analyse and interpret complex legal documents with a keen attention to detail.
Commercial Agreements: Demonstrated experience in executing, tracking, and managing basic commercial agreements.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in conducting legal research and producing brief reports. Strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments. Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and the ability to ensure compliance within the organization.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changes, handle multiple priorities, and thrive in a hybrid work environment.
