Job description
The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting data-driven decision-making, generating insights, and providing strategic guidance to optimize business operations for Field Effectiveness. This position requires expertise in decision science/statistical analysis, real-world data analysis, digital analytics, customer segmentation/valuation, targeting & alignment, and field execution impact on performance. Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize advanced analytical techniques to enhance business performance and drive growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct analysis, integrate and interpret complex data sets to derive meaningful insights and recommendations
Drive value for stakeholders by, synthesizing data at regular intervals, maintaining high quality standards, applying automation using cutting edge technology, performing analyses, updating business rules, presenting results, answering queries on deliverables, and generating focused insights
Work and collaborate within BIA (Business Insights & Analytics) to frame the analytical framework to answer questions around impact of key field execution drivers on performance
Perform statistical analyses, data mining, and predictive modelling to uncover trends and correlations
Design interactive & user-friendly dashboards, reports, and visualizations utilizing BI tools
Collaborate with matrix partners, including IT, to develop & enhance dataflow, data pipelines & analytical tools for efficient data collection, processing, and analysis
Data investigations to provide clear and concise issue resolutions
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Skills & Competencies-
Strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, and draw meaningful conclusions
Proficiency in statistical analysis techniques, MS-Excel, and predictive modeling
Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Solid understanding of digital/visual analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Spotfire)
Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
Experience-
We welcome candidates with a wide range of degrees & background, though sustained success with a significant volume of analytic & quantitative coursework is required. Successful applicants have a bachelor s or master s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) in a similar business analyst role, preferably within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry
Experience in working with real-world data (including clinical and healthcare), large datasets (SQL, R, Python), data visualization tools ( Microstrategy , Tableau, Spotfire, etc ).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements, and compliance in the biopharma industry is a plus.
Experience with real-world data analysis, digital analytics, process automation/AI-ML, and decision science
Certification or training in relevant analytics or business intelligence tools is a plus
