Network Voice/UC L3 - JD - Transformation

Responsibilities & Skills

10+ years of hands-on experience in Cisco Unified Communications Applications including CUCM/Call Manager, Call Manager Express, Unity, Unity Connection, Unity Express, Cisco Prime, IM&P, Expressway with versions 10.x, 11.x, 12.x and later.

Network Infrastructure planning & design for deploying VoIP in line with Dial Plans (CUCM), Route Patterns, Dial Peers, Translation Patterns, DNIS manipulation, and DHCP, CDP, vLAN scopes, etc.

Ability to build migration and cutover test plans for third party Telephony/UC deployments to Cisco Collaboration Architecture.

Have clear understanding on Telecom infrastructure protocols PSTN (ISDN, SIP), Analog signaling.

Ability to install Cisco Routers, Voice Gateways, CUBE/SBCs, Expressway Core & Edge configuration with expertise on VOIP protocols - SIP, H.323 umbrella, MGCP, RTP, sFTP, etc.

Experience on configuration & administration of Cisco UCS-C, B series server along with eSXI 5.x, 6.x or later, and VMware installations.

Feature configuration experience with Jabber, Extension/Device Mobility, SNR, Attendant Console, IM & Presence, Hunt groups, Hunt pilot, Voice mail service, TAPI, etc.

Design, implementation, service improvement skills for environmental changes and upgrades. Must be able to quickly identify and resolve network related issues.

Must be able to perform vendor co-ordination, assessment, to work with third party service providers, and to assist in troubleshooting, resolution of any telecommunication related problems.

Maintain a working knowledge of emerging trends in the UC industry.

Ability to troubleshoot end-to-end networks for the deployment of UC projects.

Must be able to participate and represent the team in configuration, change management meetings.

Ability to work in teams, with good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Ability to train L1/L2 engineers for capturing critical information, and in technical understanding to perform their scope of work.

Good to have Contact Center Express UCCX expertise with implementation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree (or equivalent work experience) and minimum of 10+ years experience in deployment and supporting IP based network equipment and/or software applications in relation to Cisco UC, Voice and Collaboration technologies.

Active certifications in CCIE or CCNP Collaboration, and related UCC technologies.

Experience with IP Telephony protocols, including SIP, H323, and MGCP.

Strong knowledge of IP protocols, Cisco IOS, switching/routing protocols, and Firewall Traversal for H.323 and SIP services.

Good to have installing and troubleshooting skills in Quality of service.

Excellent communication skills, with ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

  • To independently resolve tickets and esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team. (2.) To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management (3.)
