Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive data science strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and goals.
Provide strategic guidance to the data science team, ensuring their work aligns with the company's mission and vision.
Collaborate with the executive team to set the strategic direction for data-driven initiatives and projects.
Business Alignment and Integration:
Work closely with business leaders to identify and understand key business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through data-driven solutions.
Translate business objectives into data science initiatives, ensuring they are actionable, measurable, and aligned with business goals.
Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization, promoting the use of data insights to drive business strategy and operations.
Team Leadership:
Lead, inspire, and mentor a team, setting clear goals and expectations.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data science team.
Data Analysis and Modelling:
Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytical and machine learning models to generate insights that drive business improvements.
Drive advanced analytics and modelling projects to extract actionable insights from extensive datasets.
The Successful Applicant Professional and Leadership Skills:
Proven track record of leading and managing data science teams.
Strong business acumen and the ability to align data initiatives with organizational goals.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science)
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in data science and analytics.
Previous experience in the logistics or supply chain industry is a plus.
Proven leadership experience in managing and growing data science teams.
