Godrej Industries (Chemicals) is one of the oldest businesses of the Godrej Group and is in the business of manufacturing oleochemicals in India since 1963. Today, we are one of India's leading oleochemicals players and manufacture and market over 100 chemicals for use in more than 24 applications. We are expanding our reach globally and our products are exported to over 80 countries in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are located in India at Valia in Gujarat and Ambernath in Maharashtra.
Over the last decade, we have diversified our product portfolio to include value added specialty products. Designation-Manager Location-Valia Job Purpose Responsible for Civil Design, Construction, Construction Management. Shall have good interpersonal skill and exposure in handling minimum 150 cr Green or Brown field project independently. Roles & Responsibilities - Timely completion of project civil work by ensuring Safety, Quality & budget
- Estimation and budget preparation
- Dealing with Detail engineering consultant for project design & review work
Engineering Design, Review, and procurement of items
- Preparation/Review of TBA with suitable recommendation
- Preparation/ Review & approval of Tendor documents for civil work
- Lead preparation of civil activity listing with schedule for whole project
Guide & Prepare Construction schedule
- Monitoring the schedule (weekly & daily) of the activities to be performed
- Proactively assessing progress and providing solutions to mitigate scheduled
delay to optimize project completion
- Lead the approval of Civil and steel Structural Drawings, Equipment Drawings,
GAD, Drainage system, road etc.
- Ensuring Quality Control for engineering materials & construction materials
- Ensuring smooth functioning of systems & process I.e. Work permit, JSA,BBS,Tool
box talk and Safety Compliance during Design & Construction of plant
- Co-ordination with TPI/ consultant person to ensure quality standards of
civil work maintaining documentations
- Dealing with various stakeholders proactively to run site activities , delivery of materials,
site clearance, ordering at right time etc.
- Sourcing of new contractors, suppliers/vendors
- Manage no. of contractors at a time, understand their requirements and
provide solution by coordinating with all stake holders
- Ensure work happen with compliance of systems like work permit,
Performing JSA,BBS,Toolbox talk and Safety Compliance during construction of plant etc.
- ERP(SAP) system compliance like Material PR, PO and Service entry
- Legal compliance
- Dealing with the local authorities, local people to continue project operations
- Develop team to take new challenges wrt new technology, dealing with
various stake holders like contractors, user, procurement team, safety team, project team
- Lead the team to deal with the construction management
- Make system & ensure to certify Invoice with good industry practices
- Ensure reconciliation of items
Educational Qualification BE/B.Tech (Civil) Experience 10 to 12 Years Skills - Ability to diagnose issues and work through Projects.
- Effective decision making
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to be strategic as well as tactical in decision making.
- Strong Communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Proactive approach.
