Overview:
The role of a Hair Stylist is essential in providing hair care services to enhance clients physical appearance and improve their selfesteem. As a Hair Stylist you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their desired look through various styling techniques and treatments. Your creativity and technical skills will contribute to a positive salon experience for clients further developing customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consulting with clients to understand their haircare needs and desires
- Providing hair cutting coloring and styling services
- Advising clients on hair care and maintenance
- Handling hair treatments such as deep conditioning and keratin treatments
- Keeping uptodate with the latest hair trends and styling techniques
- Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and tools
- Building and maintaining a client base through exceptional customer service
- Managing appointments and maintaining client records
- Participating in promotional activities and events to attract new clients
- Collaborating with other salon professionals as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed a stateapproved cosmetology or hairstyling program
- Valid state cosmetology license
- Demonstrated experience in hair cutting styling and coloring
- Strong knowledge of hair care products and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Uptodate with industry trends and techniques
- Attention to detail and creativity in hair styling
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
