Job description
Role Purpose The National Manager Fleet will be responsible for managing the Fleet with focus on Commercials & containing cost.
The job holder will be responsible for the optimal usage of fleet resources at the lowest cost of operations. He will be accountable for his Team and day to day operations w.r.t. Fleet Management. Key Responsibility Manage and monitor all vehicles of CMS and ensure the uptime and reliability of vehicles for smooth operations. Regular reviews of vehicles and their maintenance status, set up processes and define scope of vehicle maintenance and running where necessary. Focal point of contact for all concerns for CMS’s fleet and lead all technical discussions with OEMs/ service centers for all fleet related issues. Managing fleet life cycle and ensure optimal usage of resources (4,500 company owned & 500 hired vehicles). Monitor performance of vehicles and ensure continuous cost improvement, productivity management, and process improvement strategies to ensure fleet uptime > 97%. Develop and implement proactive and predictive fleet maintenance strategies. Manage fuel and monitor KMPL of all vehicles. Keeping track of Insurance renewal and arrange for claim settlement. Ensure fleet statutory compliance and related documentation Manage annual maintenance contract (AMC) with major OEM and accessories like cameras, Fire extinguishers, etc. Ensure communication of technical instructions and arrange regular periodic training by OEMs as well as in-house trainers for drivers and fleet SPOCs. Qualification & Work Experience Preferably a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering, with 15+ years of experience in Fleet Management required Over 6 years of experience in a supervisory role in managing large teams across geographies Strong Financial & Commercial acumen. Experience in diversified equipment management, including national fleet asset management strongly preferred. Experience in designing, developing and implementing standardized processes Experience managing supplier relationships preferred.Job tags
