Position Overview:
This role will be part of the global process engineering team accountable for setting up the lithium-ion cell gigafactory in India.
Job Role - Manager – Electrode Making
- The individual with experience in slurry coating/Deposition, Drying/Oven/Baking, Heat Recovery from Oven, and calendaring/roll press processes.
- Experience in Clean & Dry Room operations is a plus.
The role requires a mix of process and plant design experience with strong engineering principles:

- Conversant with local/global EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) standards
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Execute process engineering activities following applicable standards and procedures meeting the project objective, budget, and timeline.
- Build strong relationships and work closely with leadership teams to ensure that delivery meets the needs of stakeholders.
- Develop and take ownership for the accuracy of detailed calculations, process engineering specifications and drawings meeting the process engineering requirements.
- Closely working with Technology Partner while developing the equipment & plant design and layout.
- Equipment supplier selection.
- Making RFQs with detailed technical specifications meeting the intend design objectives.
- Closely reviewing the designs of supplier and track the progress and design objective.
- Install the line and commission meeting the timelines.
- Develop, promote, and maintain a safety culture to deliver excellent health and safety performance that meet targets on allocated projects.
- Support planning activities with key stakeholders to define the projects, including input to financial and resource planning.
- Ensure application of specifications and standards as required.
- Ensure appropriate monitoring and controlling of projects' performance and provide timely and accurate data reporting.
- Make timely decisions to ensure project success.
- Manage and resolve any risks and other issues that may arise.
- Manage communications with stakeholders, project team members and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance as required.
Qualifications / Experiences:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in electrical/mechanical/chemical or relevant engineering field.
- Must have 12+ years of experience as per position requirement.
- Must be experienced in process design of greenfield or major brownfield projects for Li Ion cell manufacturing/Automotive/FMCG/semiconductor industries.
- Must be experienced in technical specification writeups, supplier selection, evaluating TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), conducting FAT & SAT, Line Commissioning meeting the project objectives.
- Knowledge of Utilities, Health, and Safety
- Experience working in Multi-National & Multi-Cultural Environments.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- A track record of leading multi-disciplinary project teams to enable successful delivery, through direct and indirect management.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced business and project environment.
