Job description
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Data Warehouse Architect (10+ years exp) with a strong focus on in-house Azure migration. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing efficient data warehouse solutions while ensuring the seamless migration of existing in-house systems to the Azure cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Azure data warehouse solutions. Architect, design, and implement scalable data warehouse solutions on the Azure platform. Evaluate and recommend appropriate data warehouse technologies, tools, and methodologies to optimize performance and efficiency. Lead the migration process of in-house data systems to Azure while ensuring minimal disruption and maximum data integrity. Design data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to facilitate smooth data migration and integration. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the availability, accessibility, and security of data within the Azure environment. Monitor and optimize the performance of the Azure data warehouse, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or issues. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and contribute to project success. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Architect, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies. In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration strategies. Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, etc. Proficiency in data modeling, schema design, and query optimization for large-scale data systems. Strong programming skills in SQL and other relevant languages. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude towards addressing technical challenges. Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Prior experience in successfully leading data migration projects from in-house systems to Azure is a significant advantage. Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or similar certifications are a plus.Job tags
