Job description

Job Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to fulfil the role of Commercial Assistant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to commercial operations, including but not limited to collection of payments, reconciliation of accounts, and assisting with various administrative and accounting duties. The position requires frequent communication with both internal stakeholders and external customers, as well as occasional travel for site visits and stock inspections.         Key Responsibilities:      1) Collection of Cheques, Bank Guarantees (BG), Letters of Credit (LC), etc., ensuring timely and accurate processing.2) Follow-up with customers regarding outstanding payments and coordinate with sales personnel to resolve any payment issues.3) Reconciliation of customer ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.4) Collection of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) certificates on a quarterly basis, maintaining proper documentation and records.5) Provide assistance in minor accounting tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, and expense tracking.6) Conduct yard visits at designated locations, such as Howrah, West Bengal, to review stock records and prepare comprehensive reports on stock levels and condition.7) Undertake site visits as required to support commercial activities, gather information, and liaise with clients or vendors.8) Assist with other commercial activities as directed by the management team. Qualifications & Skills:•Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field preferred.•Basic knowledge of accounting principles and commercial operations.•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.•Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.•Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.•Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and other business requirements.•Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
