Job description

Position: Head Legal Experience: 18 - 20+ Years Education: Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Law Location: Chennai

Providing expert and strategic legal advice to the leadership, setting internal governance policies, anticipating issues, and estimating & mitigating risks strategically while adopting a principled decision-making process based on ethics and compliance. Manage key legal issues affecting RNAIPL (production, agreements, employment, litigation, government relations) Support manufacturing, distribution, sales finance, real estate, data & IT security. Managing JV-related requirements including advising the Board of Directors, and managing corporate secretarial work. Manage budget and law firms. Manage the Company Secretary by providing support and advise to them on secretarial and Board matters handled by the team. Coordinate/work with other internal teams – HR, Finance, External Affairs, and Compliance and provide necessary support & advise as a legal SME. Interact / Interface with Regional & Corporate legal teams and heads on clarifying the stance taken on India legal assignments and provide necessary clarifications on India legal matters Oversee company secretary matters from a Corporate perspective and ensure the required reports and records are maintained and shared with Region and Corporate legal teams
