Position Purpose :
The Cloud Engineer of the Managed Cloud Services team is responsible for designing and delivering managed cloud services solutions in Australia for Bravura’s current and prospective customers. The role is responsible for delivering the lifecycle of managed services offerings, including public/private cloud across all Wealth products including but not limited to Sonata, Babel, ePASS, and Garradin. We are looking for people who live by the DevOps mantra, make complex systems simple and repeatable via automation. You should not only be able to follow the industry best practices, but you should also be able to introduce some. This is an exciting opportunity to build the next generation cloud platform blending a mix of state-of-the-art tools / techniques. Key Responsibilities : ▪ Major focus on architecting, automating and supporting AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters ▪ Work on performance and systems reporting tools. Implementing monitoring, alerting and real-time reporting solutions for our applications and workflows ▪ Focus on improving and further automating our SDLC; continuous delivery / continuous deployment pipelines Whilst we expect all our employees to do what needs to be done to demonstrate their support of Bravura Solutions, below are some specific aspects of your role for which you will be responsible: ❖ Relationship Management ▪ Establish productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. ▪ Manage the expectations of key stakeholders by facilitating effective communication. ❖ Client Management & Business Development ▪ Assist in pre-sales consulting session with existing and prospective customers. ▪ Liaise with customers on infrastructure and architectural issues, including during scoping and workshop sessions. ▪ Creating Business Solution Design (BSD) documents to address client requirements. ❖ Technical Expertise ▪ Provide expert assistance to internal and external stakeholders to facilitate requirements gathering and solution design activities focusing on Cloud services. ▪ Participate in running scoping and design workshops to establish requirements and project scope. ▪ Implement client solutions leveraging public/private cloud for Bravura Solutions’ software products. ▪ Perform deployments, and changes, to client solutions identifying, and implementing, opportunities to automate this process. ▪ Assist clients with infrastructure sizing for Bravura Solutions' software, Oracle installations, application server installations, and maintenance activities ▪ Investigate and troubleshoot performance issues related to all tiers of the solution, including application, network, client desktop and data layer. ▪ Investigate issues relating to ETL process on Oracle and Microsoft SQL database instances. ❖ Quality ▪ Develop methods to actively improve quality standards ▪ Collaborate with others to streamline and implement efficient processes. ❖ People ▪ Openly share knowledge internally ▪ Provide expert assistance to team members in order to facilitate incident investigation, requirements gathering and solution design activities. ▪ Mentor and regularly engage team members to drive performance and enhance Bravura’s delivery capabilities. In addition to the above position-specific responsibilities, all employees are required to undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within your capability and skills, when requested to do so. Qualifications and or skills : Preferred ▪ Experience with Bravura Solutions’ software ▪ Experience with Bravura Solutions’ internal tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and EPM ▪ Experience with a wide range of web technologies ▪ Knowledge of Superannuation, Pensions, and/or Insurance products, and regulation policy such as CPS234 Essential ▪ Experience with automation frameworks, DevOps, infrastructure as code and containerization ▪ Experience with infrastructure and application performance monitoring ▪ Experience common Cloud Solutions and Services ▪ Experience with automation frameworks and DevOps practices ▪ Experience with issue tracking software such as JIRA or ServiceNow ▪ AWS infrastructure and services (Cloud Formation, EKS, VPC, EC2, IAM, ...) ▪ Kubernetes (CKA is highly regarded) ▪ Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and automation tools (Gitlab, Terraform, ...) ▪ Deep understanding of Linux/UNIX systems ▪ Coding/scripting (Bash, Python, Go etc.) ▪ Strong knowledge of security fundamentals, including encryption, certificates, etc ▪ Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, NAT, etc ▪ An ‘eye for detail’ and quality focus ▪ Demonstrated customer focus ▪ Understanding of Web Services and Microservices ▪ Middleware administration including Java application server ▪ Excellent communication and client service skills ▪ Strong ability to clearly communicate complex technology solutions ▪ Proactive and forward thinking, with the ability to suggest improvements to current processes and practices ▪ Flexible and adaptable approach to a range of different tasks ▪ Able to organize and priorities own work, whilst meeting agreed deadlines ▪ Ability to work respectfully with team members of different skill levels and capabilities ▪ Reliable and professionalJob tags
