Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills (Both written and spoken) Excellent Coordination skills. Self-starter and self-motivated. Behavioral Competencies: Teamwork, flexibility and excellent people management skills Computer Skills: Should have expert level knowledge of Building construction. Should have expertise in Power plant Construction. Knowledge of Silos construction in Ash handling system Statement of Job Responsibilities: To Head the Civil/Structural Team in collaboration with the JMD. Scope, investigate, define and prepare project plans for structural investigations and designs. To handle design of Concrete & Steel Structures for Industries, Power Plants. Extensive experience in estimation as per the tender documents. Supervise and review structural design drawings, specifications, risk matrices and cost estimate, a range of structural design/material handling projects Design of RCC & Steel structures and released the good for construction drawings to site for Execution. Review all structural design/material handling documentation prepared and ensure that it is correct to a high degree of accuracy, suitable as per requirement and in accordance with all relevant standards. Oversee technical investigations and check the prepared reports on a range of structural projects. Investigate, document and prepare applications for any required statutory approvals. Research, prepare and implement effective methods in areas relevant to the Structural Design Section. Working knowledge of construction planning, execution & monitoring . Working knowledge of various design software’s, design/material handling calculation’, design standard & codes, applicable in India and overseas. Interact with internal and external Stakeholders to develop requirement specific solutions. Manage and resolve disputes between Consultants, Contractors and other Stakeholders. Organizing project review meetings, which identified and resolved operational problems, provided technical inputs on construction methodology and ensured project completion with targeted time & cost and effective resource utilization. Devising & implementing measures to optimize designs with focus on reducing overall cost of construction and ensuring quantities are within awarded BOQ; expediting drawings from consultants. Coordinating with clients & consultant for drawings approvals; analyzing geotechnical investigation reports Monitoring & supervising finalization of requirements & estimates; interpreting contractual obligations & rights and evaluating technical / financial problems for reporting the same to the departments / management. .Job tags
