SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The mission of the Topline Controlling team is to collaborate with the Sales, Marketing and Strategy teams and serve as a one-point contact for the Sales and Marketing organization. Topline controlling provides them decision-making support through financial insights.
The Topline Controller will manage and maintain all aspects of the accounting and receivables/ credit functions and its staff, by co-ordinating, initiating and following up on processes and practices to ensure that accounting books and records are properly maintained, and that adequate, accurate and timely information is provided, and requirements and standards are met. Everything to do with sustainable revenue growth falls under this umbrella.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting and classifying revenue at segment level along with the growth vectors and insights on what went well and could be done better
- Own the margin component to look at 'what if' scenarios to achieve the short term and long term plan
- Ensure reliable updating of KPIs and Dashboards (daily sales flash, weekly and monthly)
- Close collaboration on monthly basis with Sales and Marketing Departments to forecast revenue, margins and other sales enhancing expenses – direct/ indirect
- Actively being involved in budgeting process, by preparing relevant data in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders
- Actively design and govern the sales incentive program at a granular level with accurate understanding of how the sales organisation works and meet their expectations
- Provide support in consolidation and analysis of financial data (budgets/actual), and presenting them to both internal and external stakeholders
- Compile and enter data across a broad range of tools (IFS, Business Intelligence)
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance monitoring services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. Liase with statutory auditors as and when required.
- Actively drive automation projects and work continuously on improving processes
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER
Qualified Chartered accountant (CA)
Minimum 5-8 years of experience across audit, receivables, controlling and reporting
Experience in Automation projects is preferred
Well versed with advanced excel and macros
Hyperion knowledge will be an advantage
