- Responsible for deployment and continuous monitoring to ensure various cloud-specific customer requirements/SLAs are met. As a Cloud Operations Developer, you will work with developers and support colleagues to Diagnose and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents to optimize uptime.
- Continually improve and develop AVEVA's cloud solutions, including release and deployment processes and pipelines.
- Additionally, Cloud Operations Developers work closely with development and portfolio colleagues to bring new solutions to the cloud, following a standard framework to ensure solutions are operationally secure, stable, and scalable.
- The global 24x7x365 nature of the team means active participation as part of a 'follow the sun' shared team on-call Rota, and business priorities may require work outside of the standard day. In this role you will: Provide timely and effective response to incidents to minimize the impact on our customers and keep colleagues updated as required. Provide support for AVEVA cloud solutions, with a keen focus on optimization and automation.
- Work with development teams to advise and contribute to improvements to operational stability, security, cost management, and reporting requirements for our cloud solutions. Provide feedback and input to development teams to continually improve the operational performance of cloud solutions.
- Oversee cloud deployments to ensure successful implementation, track and report progress, resolve or escalate release issues.
- Proactively manage cloud environments to minimize service impacting issues, including infrastructure as code, TLS certificates, storage, health status, backup status etc.
- Review and process application and web account access requests and tasks.
- Ensure new services meet required operational readiness standards before being accepted into CDO's operations control. Ensure on-going compliance to security practices and policies.
- Provide subject matter expertise to business stakeholders as required.
- Maintain clear and accurate operational documentation.
- Contribute to regular operational and business-focused reporting metrics.
- Stay current on security industry trends, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications - The following list applies to Azure and/or AWS platforms: Certifications in Azure and/or AWS. Hands-on Azure administration, Azure APIs and tools, or equivalent AWS.
- 4+ years of experience in providing operational support/development of cloud solutions/platforms. Knowledge and experience of software development and deployment methodologies and principles.
- Development experience with strong programming skills, e.g. C#, .NET or NodeJS. Good experience of PowerShell. Knowledge of API, REST, microservices and serverless architectures. Experience working in Agile software development such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Must be a flexible self-starter, with the ability and experience to take on new requirements quickly and adapt to a growing and evolving team.
- Excellent communication skills and self-motivated problem solver. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to convey information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience working within an Information Security accredited framework e.g. ISO27001, 27017/18.
- Preferred Qualifications Information security-related qualification.
- Experience of HA and DR, game days and drills, chaos testing Docker containers and Kubernetes securing cloud infrastructure and pipeline, least privilege, PIM, Security Center, GuardDuty, patch compliance zero-downtime deployments applying DevOps standards and practices CI/CD MS Azure DevOps.
