Purpose of the position
Leads testing and validation of test components along with team of supervisors, as subset of Indoor testing, VATS- ERC. The team is responsible for the physical validation of components, systems and vehicles for entire CV and Defence Programs.
The domain encompasses Validation of Complete Brakes (Hydraulic and pneumatic system) and controls
Dimensions of the position
Direct Reportee - Nil.
Role Control - Individual Contributor

Education B.E /M Tech (Mechanical /Automobiles)
Skills
1)Knowledge in Automotive Component and system testing
2)Vehicle systems
3)Knowledge of Regulatory requirements and other national / international test standards
4)Knowledge of Instrumentation
5)Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and Quality systems.

1Leads a team of Supervisors.
2Participate in DFMEA
3Interaction with COCs and Supplier for CTR discussions and ensuring signoff of CTR by all stakeholders.
4Benchmarking of vehicles and components.
5Resource (Manpower and Equipment) planning for Project execution.
6Outsourcing activities, if required & create test plan and witness testing
7Plan & Ensure completing tests as per test plans.
8Report generation & feedback to the respective project /Design group
9Record & maintain test data.
10Execution of planned infrastructure capabilities.
11Testing process improvements based on national / international standards, best practices and learnings and capturing the same in respective document (WI/WG/TS).
12Closure of assigned MiNT and CIB issues.
13Prepare safety guidelines for activities in area of work
14Create preventive maintenance guidelines
15Innovation Management (IPR, Innovista etc.)
