Job description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program or project management.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with technical program management outcomes from idea concept to launching programs in multiple contexts.
• Ability to identify organizational needs, establish priorities, work independently, drive results through informal authority, and serve as a trusted consultant to key business partners and represent users and customers.
  
• Ability to work with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
  
• Ability to suggest manipulations of the scope-cost-time-quality levers within programs to help accomplish the goals of the program.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Spatial Flexibility team is focused on building tools and systems for bin packing the capacity better and making sure the team grows. The team's goal is to enable efficient program planning and execution, drive predictability and quality by improving visibility into schedules, commitments, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage programs and ensurethey are moving forward.
  
• Scope, plan, and manage projects, management of associated financial and human resources, quality of software development and features, risks, schedules, communication plans, and deliverables.
  
• Provide management with forecasts of project deliverables and detailed status updates.
  
• Present the team's analyses, recommendations, and approaches to stakeholders and executive management.
  
• Initiate new software development programs, identify and deliver software features that drive performance, scale, functionality, security, quality, and efficiency.
