Svenska Design Hotels is a European chain of upscale boutique hotels with 40 hotels across India. We are looking for an experienced culinary professional to lead the food production team at our 5-star luxury hotel in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. As

the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary duties include menu planning, recipe development, team management, food cost controls and the execution of high-quality dishes.

Culinary Leadership: Provide visionary culinary leadership, aligning Kakinada kitchen operations with our brand standards Develop innovative and seasonal menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection for guests Collaborate with the F&B team to create unique culinary experiences and promotions

2.

Team Management: Lead and inspire a diverse team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the kitchen staff Establish and enforce hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with local regulations

3.

Food Production: Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food items, maintaining consistency and quality Monitor food production schedules to meet guest demands while minimising waste Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into the menu

4.

Budget Management: Effectively manage food costs and kitchen expenses within the allocated budget Implement cost control measures without compromising on the quality of ingredients and service Collaborate with procurement to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices

5.

Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests Collaborate with sales & marketing team for the promotion of culinary offerings through various channels Maintain open communication channels with suppliers to ensure timely and quality ingredient deliveries

Guest Satisfaction: Continuously monitor guest feedback and respond promptly to address any concerns or issues Conduct regular tastings and solicit guest feedback to refine and improve menu offerings Strive for excellence in guest satisfaction, consistently exceeding their culinary expectations

Requirements: Hospitality degree/diploma is mandatory Min. 10 years of culinary experience, with a proven track record in food production Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams Excellent leadership abilities to motivate and manage a dynamic culinary team Proficient in food cost management to meet budgetary targets while maintaining quality Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and culinary innovations Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and work schedules
