Job Description: Micro Focus Cobol Developer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced MF Cobol Developer to join our dynamic team. As an Micro Focus Cobol Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications using Micro Focus Cobol programming language. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design efficient solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software applications. Responsibilities: - Develop, code, test, and debug Micro Focus Cobol programs for mainframe applications. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. Design and implement software solutions that meet business needs and align with industry best practices. Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of developed applications. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and maintainability. Collaborate with other developers, database administrators, and system analysts to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Maintain and enhance existing Micro Focus Cobol applications by implementing requested changes and improvements. Ensure compliance with coding standards, documentation requirements, and software development methodologies. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Micro Focus Cobol and mainframe technologies. Participate in team meetings, discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as an MF Cobol Developer, with a strong understanding of mainframe development. Proficient in Micro Focus Cobol programming language and mainframe technologies. Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Experience in analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex applications. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality code and meeting project deadlines. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
