Core Skills: Linux Kernel programming in C, Device Drivers, I2C, SPI , PCI protocols, Board-bring-up process, Bootloader, Strong preference: Networking background, Exposure to OpenWRT and DPDK exposure. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop new Platform and Linux system features and services for VMware SASE Mobile Edge, · VMware SASE Mobile edge will be ruggedized HW version of existing VMWare SASE Edge · Work involves porting of OpenWRT and VMWare SASE firmware and software on new HW model. · Provide support for LTE and WIfi drivers. · Provide code review in platform and systems areas, fixing issues in code with troubleshooting and debuggability. · Work closely with Engineering QE, Support and Tech Ops to provide day-to-day operations for the SASE portfolio. · Maintain and build system software including Operating Systems, drivers, kernel configuration and build scripts. · Help maintain and develop system software in Python and C for SD-WAN platform. · Build and maintain a Linux OS distribution that serves as the OS platform for our SD-WAN solution. · Perform Test automation of the relevant functionality using VMWare Hapy framework.
