Job Title: Azure Server Administrator Job Location:
Bangalore Job Timings: Monday to Friday; Split Shift RESPONSIBILITIES To provide support and maintenance of all IT services such as applications, operating systems, hardware and network Design, implement and support Windows Server infrastructure in a secure, scalable, and redundant 24x7 environment, including file/print, database, email (exchange and O365) and multi-site Active Directory 2008 services. And hand on experience on Azure cloud Setting up of IIS servers Troubleshoot problems with, system, network and security infrastructure, including Windows server, azure, email & Collaboration systems, Citrix, Virtualization platform, proxy servers and make corrective actions when necessary. Focus ongoing efforts on automation and optimization by utilizing scripting, monitoring, and performance metrics to develop increasingly reliable systems and processes. Manage corporate patch push routines utilizing System Center Configuration Manager. Work with various technologies including IIS, VMware VSphere 4.x/5.x, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Office Communications Server / Lync, Symantec End-Point Protection, Symantec Backup Exec, Trend Micro security products Maintain and apply current industry knowledge and best practices. Research and recommend use of new technologies. Strict adherence to defined standards and controls including outage windows and change notification The role requires working in Night shifts and being on-call during weekends on rotational basis To provide support and maintenance of all IT services such as applications, operating systems, hardware and network, document and maintain the strategy and roadmap Focus ongoing efforts on automation and optimization by utilizing scripting, monitoring, and performance metrics to develop increasingly reliable systems and processes. Serve as a second level escalation point for system issues coming from our IT Helpdesk. Documentation and execution of recurring proactive system maintenance routines, including patch management, to ensure system stability. Mentoring and cross-training of junior team members on newly implemented systems and best practices. EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems ; supplemented with one or more certification MCSE / MCITP Enterprise Administrator EXPERIENCE Considerable (6-8 years) and current experience as an Administrator on a medium sized network of servers, desktop systems and communications devices using current technologies. SKILLS Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Server Management (AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, IIS, ADFS, DFS and other components), VMware virtualization, O365 Management, Exchange Server Management, MS-Azure cloud, Backup and antivirus products (security) Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users Demonstrated ability to support networked devices & printers. Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies. Knowledge of IT Processes - incident management, change management Knowledge of Dell / HP / IBM servers and enclosures preferred IIS server Knowledge of SAN storage preferred Knowledge of ITIL Process, Procedures and Best practices Highly developed verbal and written communications.Job tags
