Scope and General Purpose of Job:
As a Banquet Sales professional, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue and achieve sales targets for banquet events. Your role will involve identifying potential clients, building strong relationships, coordinating events, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive banquet sales strategy to drive revenue and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and prospect potential banquet clients through various channels such as social media, networking events, and industry trade shows.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct site tours and meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs, suggest appropriate event spaces, and negotiate contracts.
- Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate and execute flawless banqueting events, ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
- Prepare detailed banquet event orders (BEOs) and contracts, including menus, equipment requirements, room layouts, and AV needs.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to stay updated on market trends, prices, and offerings, ensuring the property remains competitive.
- Participate actively in industry associations and events to stay abreast of current trends and represent the property as a leader in banqueting and events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, advertisements, and online marketing initiatives to increase banquet sales.
- Monitor and analyze banquet revenue, expenses, and sales performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to the management team.
- Train and develop banquet sales staff on effective sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills.
- Foster positive relationships with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of events.
- Provide input on banquet space design, renovations, and upgrades to enhance the overall banquet sales experience.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to banqueting, food safety, and alcohol service.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner.
