Role : Pharmacy Operations - Manager or Senior Manager

Reporting to : Chief Operating Officer

Shift : 9 AM to 5.30 PM  

Work Week : 6 days with Sunday off.  

Location : Chennai

Age : 35 to 38 years (Male candidate only)

Qualification : Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or related field (advanced degree preferred) with MBA from reputed management institute (B-Schools | IIM | ISB)

Experience: Minimum 12 or 15+ years

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Pharmacy Operations Manager to lead the operational and financial aspects of our IP and OP Pharmacy outlets within the hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing revenue generation, EBITDA, and overall profitability while driving innovation, fostering a collaborative team environment, and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.

 
1. Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations of both IP and OP Pharmacy outlets, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Implement innovative methods to enhance business processes, improve efficiency, and maximize operational output. Identify areas for improvement in workflow, resource utilization, and customer service, and develop strategies to address them.

2. Financial Management: Drive revenue generation through strategic planning and execution of sales strategies, promotional activities, and cross-selling opportunities. Monitor Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, EBITDA performance, and cost control measures to achieve financial targets. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for enhancing profitability.

3. Performance Tracking and Target Achievement: Set clear performance targets for the pharmacy team and continuously monitor progress towards goals.

4. Innovation and Business Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging the development and implementation of creative ideas to improve business processes and services.

5. Team Collaboration: Lead and motivate the pharmacy team to work cohesively towards achieving collective objectives.

6. Organizational Goal Alignment: Collaborate with senior management to understand organizational goals and contribute to their achievement through effective pharmacy operations.

7. Business Analytical Skills:  To generate MIS reports for business efficacy. Knowledge on Power BI dashboard and MySQ. To Analyze and report on a daily basis using Excel and SQL. To analyze and devise operational rules based on three-month vendor performance trends, utilizing statistical analysis in MS Excel to optimize operational efficiency. Collaborate with seniors to devise and execute innovative allocation strategies, enhancing efficiency, converted business requirements into an SQL statement.

• Proven experience in pharmacy operations management, preferably within a hospital setting.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing financial performance, including revenue generation, cost control, and EBITDA optimization.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to pharmacy operations.
• Proven track record of aligning operational efforts with organizational goals.
