Job description

Simpl is seeking a Senior Product Manager to oversee the merchant onboarding and retention charter for our B2B SaaS offering Simpl Checkout. The goal is to craft a seamless and top-tier onboarding experience and own the merchant experience to drive retention across the network.

As a dynamic Senior Product Manager, youll be at the forefront of revolutionizing the experience for our esteemed Large Merchants. Your key responsibilities include crafting features to empower Large merchants and spearheading innovative solutions for any product escalations they encounter. Regularly, youll masterfully navigate escalations, engineer solutions, and ensure prompt resolutions, all contributing to an unparalleled and seamless merchant journey.

Responsibilities:

Technical Acumen:

1. Demonstrate a deep understanding of software development, API integrations, and e-commerce platforms internally and externally.

2. Work closely with the engineering team to make technically sound decisions and guide the development process.

Strategic Leadership:

1. Develop and communicate a clear, strategic vision for the Merchant Onboarding & Retention, aligning with overall business objectives.

2. Make informed decisions that balance short-term goals with long-term product sustainability and growth.

Team Leadership:

1. Lead and inspire a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

2. Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and empower team members to excel in their respective roles.

Merchant Focus:

1. Champion a merchant-centric approach, ensuring the checkout solution and SDKs meet merchant needs and expectations.

2. Collect and analyze merchant feedback to drive continuous improvement and enhance the merchant experience.

3. Lead end-to-end solutions for merchant escalations, conducting thorough preliminary analysis and ensuring successful implementation.

Market Awareness:

1. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.

2. Deep Understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem.

3. Adjust product strategy accordingly, ensuring the product remains competitive and innovative.

Stakeholder Management:

1. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, marketing, customer support, and partners, to gather insights and ensure alignment on product goals.

2. Represent the product portfolio in various forums, such as executive meetings, customer presentations, and industry events.

Documentation and Training:

1. Ensure comprehensive documentation is provided for developers and merchants using the SDKs and checkout solution.

2. Facilitate training sessions or materials to support successful product adoption.

Qualifications:

Engineering degree: MBA or equivalent is a plus but not mandatory.

Proven track record of 6 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years. of focused work on building growth products or B2B SaaS products.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong team collaboration abilities

Have launched products from scratch and scaled them

Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
