Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team at Chandak Agarwal & Co. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their accounting needs are met and providing exceptional service. This is a mid-level position requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The job is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and is a full-time position.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in goods and services tax (GST) accounting and compliance
- Experience in ledger scrutiny and reconciliation
- Excellent client handling and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven track record in team management and leadership
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using accounting software
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as their main point of contact for all accounting-related matters
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and payroll
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
- Provide tax planning and compliance services, including GST accounting and taxation knowledge
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve queries and address client needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and providing strategic advice
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development
- Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
- Contribute to business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and fostering existing client relationships
