Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design and implementation of automated testing solutions. The QA Automation Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test scenarios, create automated test scripts, and contribute to the overall improvement of our testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Create and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, and performance testing.

Test Planning and Strategy:

• Collaborate with QA and development teams to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
• Contribute to the identification and prioritization of test scenarios for automation.

Continuous Integration:

• Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
• Ensure the automated tests provide fast and reliable feedback to the development team.

Defect Reporting and Tracking:

• Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Performance Testing:

• Design and implement performance test scenarios to evaluate the scalability and reliability of software applications.
• Analyse performance test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automated test scripts, test scenarios, and testing processes.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of testing standards and best practices.

Test Environment Setup:

• Assist in the setup and maintenance of test environments, including test data preparation and configuration.

• Mode of Work: Onsite Office, Ahmedabad (No Remote or Hybrid)
• Round of Interviews: 2
• Interview will be at Welspun's Ahmedabad office on 7 Feb and 8 Feb 2024

Project Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 6 years of proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
• Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Strong programming skills, preferably in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
