Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire Head of Production for a leading Chemical MNC client in Mahad

Experience: 12+ years

Job Description:

1. Ensure production and dispatch activities are carried out according to the business plan.
2. Plan daily production activities to meet the production plan, optimizing resource utilization.
3. Plan capacity expansion in case of shortfalls, if required, and manage dispatch planning and execution for both export and domestic sales.
4. Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction and implement techniques to improve efficiency.
5. Formulate, monitor, review, and control the plant budget. Implement cost-saving measures to reduce operational and maintenance expenses within budget.
6. Coordinate materials and spare parts planning, including vendor identification, specification requirements, and offer evaluation.
7. Ensure timely delivery of finished goods and manage material, warehouse, stores, and safety management.
8. Plan and ensure satisfactory product quality, continuously improving it. Conduct audits and address non-conformities.
9. Establish quality and safety standards, implement quality control systems for incoming materials and in-process stages to enhance product quality and reduce rejection rates.
10. Take responsibility for producing zero-defect products. Analyze customer complaints and implement action plans to reduce them.
11. Collaborate closely with the maintenance department to ensure preventive maintenance is carried out according to the plan.
12. Manage contractors and ensure the quality of deployed manpower.
13. Identify and correct errors by conducting root cause analysis in consultation with the Quality department, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
14. Ensure adherence to production policies, processes, and systems to minimize production losses due to human error.
15. Report major and minor production errors to maintain high standards of quality and safety for human resources, tools, and environmental controls.
16. Manage effluent effectively, complying with government norms.
17. Develop strong team leaders and shift incharges.
