As a Sales Finance Manager at Snowflake, you will be providing end-to-end financial support to the Sales leader and his/her organisation for the Area you are responsible for. First, you will act as a business partner and trusted advisor to Senior Leadership in the APJ region by providing financial support in all areas required by the business. Second, you will interact with FP&A and other corporate teams and represent the Sales organisation you support in all activities and deliverables, and third, you'll ensure that all compliance activities related to your area of responsibility are followed and fulfilled.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will coordinate and manage the weekly and monthly top line (bookings and revenue) forecast process.
- Partner with Sales leadership, establish budgets and HC plans and track and report on actual performance.
- Identify business insights by creating, developing and reporting on key business metrics.
- Coordinate and Manage the month end close cycle.
- Participate, coordinate and be one of the main owners of the annual plan process for your Area of responsibility.
- Coordinate and represent the Sales organisation you support on all financial deliverables to Corporate functions.
- Ensure compliance and alignment to company policies
- Partner with the Deal Desk, Commercial Legal, Sales Operations and Sales organisation and become a trusted advisor for the deal construct and negotiation process of complex transactions.
- In partnership with other company functions, help set policies, process and procedures and assist or drive their implementation.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related relevant areas.
- 10+ years of related experience, preferably in Sales Finance, FP&A, deal desk, finance, contracts or sales operations positions.
- Ability to read, understand and draft contractual business terms and conditions.
- Understanding of revenue recognition principles and US GAAP.
- Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate in simple terms to different levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Experience working in a fast paced environment.
- Experience and understanding of the SaaS business model.
- Self-starter, strong ability to work with minimal direction and to set effective project plans with an ownership mindset
- Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed with an enabler attitude
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE:
- MBA or related relevant area.
- Prior experience in working and supporting large Sales organisations
