Job description
As a MES Engineer, you should have overall idea on end-to-end MES projects, which encompasses Study
phase (assessment, requirements, process design, solution design) and Implementation phase
(configuration, development, testing).
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Working closely with stakeholders to define MES solution and develop detailed design specifications
Development, configuration, testing and deployment of the MES solution
Understand the technical requirements and translate into detailed Technical Specifications
Create prototypes to develop and demonstrate special project features
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code as per the need
Responsible for MES software integration with systems like ERP, PLM and other Control Systems
Building custom reports using various reporting tools
Refine and follow Business Process Maps for configuration of execution workflows
Work in an Agile Environment, using appropriate methodology
Short-term project based business travel when required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor / Masters in Engineering with exposure to industrial automation
Minimum of 4 years' experience handling MES solutions
Have familiarity with two or more MES solutions (Siemens, Delmia, Rockwell, Parsec etc.)
Experience in MES related modules like Production, Maintenance, Quality, Integration, Warehouse
Understanding of ISA 95 standards would be an added advantage
Experience with databases - Structured / Un-structured
Worked on interface technologies (e.g., SOAP, MQ, JMS, ODBC)
Experience on Installation, Configuration and Maintenance of Software and Servers
Working knowledge on interfaces (Profibus, Modbus, OPC, IEC61850, Ethernet, Profinet, etc.)
Experience with object-oriented modeling and programming languages such as Java, C ,C#,
Python
Knowledge of active directory, DNS, IP networks and virtualization is a plus
Knowledge of optimization techniques in operations research and artificial intelligence is a plus
o Linear programming, genetic algorithms
o Heuristic search techniques, constraint programming
