Job description
Employee Relations:
- Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies, policies, and practices for employees working in warehouses across India
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
- Liaison with relevant government agencies, departments and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage grievance handling and disciplinary procedures in a fair and transparent manner.
- Monitor and analyze labor market trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices to make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop a robust network to pre-empt IR issues and take preventive actions to avoid the same HR Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with overall business objectives from the employee relation perspective
- Oversee and manage compliance with all applicable laws including employee and establishment compliance.
- Critically analyze the impact of any new regulatory/policy changes on the company/group and provide advice as required.
-Formulate and administer policies in discussion with management to ensure harmonious relations between management and workers
Legal:
- Provide regular and timely feedback and be proactive in the identification and resolution of issues that may have an impact on the Group's reputation from employee relation perspective
- Handle drafting and filing of representations with appropriate statutory and regulatory authorities and work with the stakeholders/team members to ensure accuracy of filings.
- Review and evaluate the organization's policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and make recommendations for change.
- Work closely with other group and portfolio companies needing legal guidance and support.
Desired Experience/Skills
- Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree and relevant certifications preferred.
- 8-10 years of experience in HR and IR roles, with a focus on manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Experience in working in unionized environment is preferred
- Proven experience in successfully setting up HR and IR functions in greenfield projects is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Understanding and fluency in English Hindi is preferred.
- Solid experience in regulatory field with relevant experience in an operating company.
- Good judgment enabling the provision of sound advice in areas of law, regulation and practice, and proactive management of compliance and regulatory risk.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and multi-cultural awareness.
- High on accountability with strong integrity.
- Proven ability to establish relationships and exert influence at senior levels and with regulators and other external stakeholders
