Organization: GoPals Charitable Trust

NGO Overview:

GoPals (Go-Cows; Pals-Friends): Friends of Cows is a charitable trust established on October 3, 2014, with accreditations including 80G and Section 12A, registered in January 2018. Our diverse volunteer base includes farmers, students, government employees, and private employees in the IT sector. Operating across chapters in Bangalore, Mysore, Gulbarga, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, and Tirunelveli, our mission is to promote sustainable living and well-being in rural India.

Program Name: Gou Chethna - Village Sustenance to Nation Building

Position : Internship - Gou Grama Development Intern

Duration : 3-6 Months

Location: Village assignments across Bharat

Accommodation and Travel :Provided by GoPals Charitable Trust

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the identification and mapping of land banks suitable for cow grazing, utilizing Google Maps skills for identification and storage.

2. Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops on how to make Gou products for local communities.

3. Collaborate closely with community members to implement and evaluate these practices.

4. Conduct meetings with Panchayat leaders to involve them in this initiative.

5. Form a cooperative or self-help group among rearers for joint production and marketing efforts.

6. Collect and analyze data to assess the impact of initiatives on community well-being.

7. Provide regular updates and reports on project progress to the project team and GoPals Leadership.

Skills Required:

1.Proficiency in Google Maps and project management for effective landÂ

2.mapping and project execution.

3.Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage and educate diverse audiences.

4.In-depth knowledge of the manufacturing of cow-based products and their application.

5.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
