Job description

Proven experience in a leadership role within affiliate marketing or iGaming

Excellent understanding of SEO, paid search, and other traffic generation

Preferable native Dutch or German speaker

Join a well known Affiliate company based in Malta, or remote from anywhere in Europe as Head of Central Europe! 

As the Head of the Central Europe Team in the Casino Department, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and financial performance of your portfolio of casino affiliate websites (aka Business Unit).

Your role includes overseeing the team’s performance and needs, driving organic traffic, diversifying revenue streams and ensuring cost-efficiency within your business unit.

Key Responsibilities, 

Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement growth plans aimed at making your sites the leading casino affiliate platforms in your market(s).
Align your team's objectives and activities with the overall business strategy of the company.
Identify and capitalise on emerging market trends and opportunities to stay ahead of competition.

2. Financial Accountability, 
Own the profit & loss (P/L) statement for your team, regularly monitoring financial performance.
Take corrective actions and develop strategies to improve financial metrics when needed.

3.Traffic Growth and Diversification:
Oversee organic growth strategies, primarily through SEO initiatives.
Explore and implement methods for diversifying traffic growth and lead generation, through alternative methods, such as paid marketing, sponsored collaborations, and partnerships.
Identify and implement diverse revenue streams apart from the conventional commission-based income.
Collaborate with potential partners and stakeholders to explore new monetization opportunities.
Optimize lead generation strategies, harnessing data-driven insights to enhance lead quality.

4. Customer Retention and Engagement:
Develop and oversee CRM activities, including email marketing campaigns, push notifications, and other retention tactics.

5. Website Optimization and Innovation:
Understand and implement best practices in website structuring to enhance user experience and search engine performance.
Innovate by integrating new tools and features that increase returning visitors and improve overall site engagement.
Ensure that the content is localized and relevant to the target market, contributing to a superior user experience.
Explore emerging web technologies and trends to keep websites at the forefront of user experience.

6. Performance Monitoring:
Continuously track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
Adjust plans as necessary to meet and exceed targets.
Coordinate with the Sales team to ensure best-converting operators in your market are represented on our sites, with the optimal deal structure.

7. Resource Management and Recruitment:
Ensure that the team operates efficiently, optimising costs wherever possible.
Identify HR gaps in your business unit and recruit, mentor, and manage team members to ensure optimal performance.
Implement workforce planning strategies to align team resources with evolving business needs.

8. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate with the Director of Casino and other Heads of Teams to align strategies and share best practices.
Liaise with the Director of Product Operations to ensure that your team's needs and strategies are supported by the operational departments.
Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance the visibility and impact of your casino affiliate websites.

9. Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with industry and market trends, and digital marketing best practices, ensuring that our operational strategies remain cutting-edge.
Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging team members to bring forward new ideas and solutions that enhance your portfolio of casino websites.

Qualifications and Skills:
● Proven experience in a leadership role within the affiliate marketing, iGaming, or related industry.
● Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting a wide range of data, from financial figures to SEO and digital marketing KPIs.
● Excellent understanding of SEO, paid search, and other traffic generation methods.
● Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
● Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
● Proficiency in German or Dutch language, with a deep understanding of the native
language's nuances and cultural context.
● Familiarity with the legal framework of iGaming in Germany or the Netherlands, including
regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards.
