Drawing Supervisor (Draughtsman Civil)

Overview: As a Drawing Supervisor (Draughtsman Civil), you will be responsible for creating precise and detailed technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to produce accurate representations of structures, infrastructure, and construction plans. Your role is crucial in translating conceptual designs into actionable plans that guide the construction process. Key Responsibilities: Drafting and Design: Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, surveyors, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of drawings with relevant codes, regulations, and standards Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of drawings, revisions, and project specifications Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to project teams during the design and construction phases. Address inquiries, clarify design intent, and assist in resolving technical issues related to drawings and plans Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in civil engineering drafting and design. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree Civil Engineering, full time. Relevant certifications in drafting and CAD software are advantageous. Experience: 2-5 years of total experience Proven experience as a draftsman in the civil engineering or construction industry. Familiarity with CAD software like Auto CAD and drafting techniques is essential. Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus. Strong understanding of drafting standards, construction techniques, and building codes. Knowledge of civil engineering principles, materials, and practices.Job tags
