System Administrator (VMWare) As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for deployment and Operations and `Maintenance of VMware-OpenShift based private cloud consisting of HPE hardware, VMware ESXi, vCentre and OpenShift containers. Job Responsibilities: · Perform Linux server administration activities - Linux server installation, LVM creation, file system management, user management, providing sudo access, performance monitoring, troubleshooting boot issues, Linux server patching and hardening · Installation, configuration, and administration of vCenter servers · Administration of VMware and perform activities on P2V, vMotion, Storage vMotion, DRS, FT · Patch and maintain ESX host servers · Automate tasks where appropriate with according scripts or other tools · Troubleshoot the Openshift Cluster (Network, Security, Storage), Ability to setup Openshift Container Platform on VMWARE · Responsible for Containers, Docker and YAML scripting · Red Hat OpenShift deployment and administration of PaaS. · Deployment and management of OpenShift Container Platform. Configure master and node for one or more clusters. Configuring control access to OpenShift container resources. Provision persistent storage for the internal registry, application onboarding to OpenShift. · Configure and maintain datastores, vSwitches and port groups · Scheduled proactive activities and patching support. · Manage virtual machine snapshots. Configure and maintain backup and replication of VMs. Candidate should possess: · Expertise in Linux OS system administration - RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux · Expertise in VMware hypervisor platform – ESXi, vCentre, vSphere · Hands on experience in deploying Server and Virtualization with VMware vSphere · Experience of VMware Distributed Switch, VMware Cluster Management, deploy from template, P2V migration, VMware Resource Pool, VM clone & snapshot · Knowledge of VMware Resource Management, Advance cluster Management, Cluster Security · Knowledge on Virtual networking concepts · Basic working knowledge of SAN/NAS Technologies · Knowledge on VMWare ESX Server Hardware setup with HA/DRS Clustering/VMotion · Experience with Perl, Python, or Shell scripting. · Knowledge of Red Hat Linux systems and Atomic host. · Basic knowledge on Ansible. · Good knowledge on blade servers: Dell, HPE Servers, Blade Chassis, and Blade Servers · Good knowledge on Cloud technology - Private/public/Hybrid cloud & Cloud stacks · Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosis of HP servers using iLO and serial console ports. · Expertise in HPE DL3xx server Gen 8/9/10 and HPE 3PAR, Alletra, NetApp DELL EMC storage and Storeonce, RMC, StorageTek backup solutions. · Experience of Windows Server administration would be an advantage Qualifications: · Bachelors or Masters in Engineering · 8+ years of relevant experience of Linux server administration, ESXi, and VMware suite. · Atleast 5+ years of relevant experience in VMware and 2 years on OpenShift · VCP certification is preferred
